Every time I go on vacation somewhere sunny I can’t help but be on the lookout for stylish women’s sun hats. I saw one 4 weeks ago and had to ask the gal what the brand was. I immediately googled it when I got back to my hotel and found it.

The Sunday Afternoons Adventure Hat by Sunday Afternoons. I have been wearing it for a few weeks and can’t be happier. Not only is it comfortable, but the compliments feel good. Taken from the amazon product listing here is a brief description:

* UPF 50 with lightweight nylon fabric
* Wicking headband & mesh sides for comfort and moisture management
* 4″ foam stiffened brim that floats with lift-up back veil

While this does not look typically like the stylish wide brim sun hats, the brim is wide enough and stays wide all around. Another great feature I personally noticed was when the weather is very hot, it allows a cool breeze to come up through the mesh sides so you can avoid that hot boxed feeling that alot of sun hats for women give you.

Looking some ultra cute women’s straw hats? This may be one of the cutest I’ve seen and will be ordering soon. The Fossil Kennedy Straw Fedora Hat caught my eye the other day.

It may not completely cover your face but should provide some lightweight protection if thats all you need it for. Fossil is more known for other clothing types and accessories. I particularly love their handbags. This hat to me looks like something I would pay 5 times the price for, that’s why I’m so shocked at the price, not complaining though, I’ll take it.

Some days I like something small, but when I’m going to be in the sun all day long I need something perhaps a little extreme. Taking care of our skin must be a high priority if you want to keep looking young into older age. I thought this hat fit the bill perfectly.

The Brim is nearly 8 inches wide with a crown of 4.5 inches. With a 22 inch circumference, you will definitely be protected. Air flow should not be a problem due to the open weave braid. If your traveling, the hat is crushable so you can in fact flatten if need be.

for those of you who have never worn straw sun hats to this size, these sun protection hats do take some getting use to. However, there is nothing wrong with making your own unique fashion statement once in a while.

Trying to look like a Hollywood diva? If you are I recommend checking out the sensational black wide brim diva style floppy hat. Wow, that’s a long name. This has a circumference of 22 inches. There is a saying that wide brimmed hats get you noticed and this wide brim sun hat will definitely do that. You can wear it as casual or formal attire. It’s perfect for an evening with your hubby or an afternoon out with the girls. This hat is so timeless it doesn’t matter the decade or the year you will see the most popular divas around the world sporting one. I will tell you though it is made of wool/felt so if that isn’t what you’re looking for then I would suggest you avoid it. Unlike myself some people are very sensitive to wool, I have a friend who can’t go within 10 feet of this fabric without breaking out, poor thing. Another point to make is if you do not like to go to the cleaners this hat is not for you. It is dry clean only. So if you want to sport something made famous by fashionistas like Jennifer Lopez I highly suggest you give this one a shot.

My husband has been golfing just about every weekend for as long as we have been together. Being the nice husband that he is he always asks me to go along with him but I for some reason have never taken an interest. Finally a few weeks ago while we were having dinner I shocked him as I suggested that I would love to learn how to play golf some day. So the next day he got on the phone and arranged some golf lessons for me through the end of the summer. Now me being the fashion queen I am, the first thing I thought about was: what am I going to wear? And of course, I had to start with the hat. This is what led me to my next review on the Scala Women’s Cotton Big Brim I just received less than a week ago.

The one I got is all white so it matches my capris I will be wearing and it also has a UPF of 50+ which is a nice bonus. It has a cute little drawstring and it is 100% cotton which feels soft to me.

What I like – What I like the most about this hat is how simple it is. The last thing that I want to do out on the golf course is stick out like a sore thumb. I’m sure I will already have anxiety every time I miss the ball so I don’t need anything to add to that. I also am a big fan of chin straps and the one that goes along with this hat is very cute.

What I don’t like -While I haven’t had this summer hat for very long I can’t imagine me finding anything that I don’t necessarily like about it. Like I’ve said before there is a hat for every occasion and this one should be perfect for what I’m using it for. I already wore it to the store yesterday and got a couple of looks and that’s enough for me to know that it was a good pick.

Would I buy this product again? I would not bat an eye at buying this hat again as it looks the same in my hands, or I should say on my head as it did on line and I love it when that happens. So if you’re looking for something simple this summer which won’t make you necessarily stick out like a sore thumb but still want to look cute, then give this hat a shot.
